The notebooks are really special and eco friendly.
I contacted the company with a query and they were so helpful in solving it for me. I would highly recommend
High quality product with a lovely pattern on the backing of the cover. Bought for a friend & they love it! Will definitely buy from here again.
This is my 8th notebook from this brand. Tried a few top notebook brands which do not have the paper quality as good as this. Similar to other notebooks that I bought from this company, the paper do not bleed through due to the pages being thicker which has provide an pleasant experience when writing. Another difference from the top few notebook brands is the cute and unique design on the outer and inner cover. Lastly the most important reason is using it for a good cause since it is not harmful to the environment during production.
I bought my first Dingbats* notebook over a year ago. It was the one with the duck.
The quality of the paper, of the binding and of the cover was really good! And I needn't talk about the design... it's awesome.
I was so pleased and I had no problem with bleeding at all. Plus the ghosting of all waterbased pens was all right (there was some, but it didn't disturb the reading).
The paper was super smooth and felt incredible.
I also love the size. It makes writing so much easier, if you have 1cm more on the width (compared to the omnipresent Leuchtturm).
The number of pages is enough for me to use it for 6 months.
I am not sure about this but maybe there was a change in the production space?
Now the pens bleed trough (same pens), the notebook is thinner and the quality of the cover is not that good anymore (you can see a little of the cardboard showing at some places, the is glue coming out).
The paper is almost yellow and it doesn't feel so smooth anymore.
Also missing from the beginning is a second bookmark.
And for me the perforated pages is a hindrance, because the pens bleed through, when I write something over the perforation.
Also the paper colour was yellowish in the first place (to yellow for my taste, it was not cream) and now it is so yellow that the colours of the pens look strange.
For me, it would also be a great relief to have numbered pages from the beginning (small numbers, not like the ones in the earth collection).
And if there werde options to have a smaller dot grit (like 4mm or 3.5 mm), this would be great.
I use the Dingbats* notebooks for my Bullet Journaling and I feel disappointed by the new (in my eyes worse) quality.
I don't think that I will buy them again, if there will be no changes (I'd love to because I love the idea of the company and the design).
Hopefully the paper quality will improve so that I can buy them again.
I love this journal. The pages are so smooth. I can see why the bullet journal community is crazy about Dingbats. Only downside is only one bookmark , I need two.
